I am pressed for time this week, so this may be the first of many shorter posts. However, it will give me a chance to share my limerick about a belly with identity issues. It goes like this:
There once was a belly who tried
To turn herself into a side
To make herself thin
She sucked her flanks in
And now she\’s just two inches wide
As you might imagine, the market for poems about bellies who turn themselves into other things is sadly limited — so I have not tried to get it published. However, it is nice to share and I appreciate that you have read it.
Perhaps one day my blog will become the internet hub for belly limericks to compensate for the woeful absence of them in mainstream publishing. Until then, we will just have to wait.
Sigh.
As I promised in a previous post, here is a photograph of Tubear, my other laptop. She is a little hard to type on but she does not have to be updated quite as often, so I prefer this one.
